Alight seems to be a pretty decent store overall. They have a HUGE selection of clothing to choose from no matter what category you choose to view – evening dresses, skirts, denim, knit tops. Some of their styles seem a little bit out of date or maybe just for an older woman in her middle 40s rather than a younger woman in her middle 20s; therefore, there are styles for almost every age.
There are many benefits to this store but then there were some things that I wasn’t completely impressed with either, hence the reason I didn’t give all five stars for the store. I was very disappointed with the product image layout as well as customer service. In addition, the sizing charts weren’t inspiring.
The clothing at Alight is fashionable and chic with a huge selection of day and night clothing as well as formal wear. You can shop not only by category and brand but by size and boutique as well. At Alight, the thing to remember is that they have something for almost every age, which is what sets this store apart from so many of the others as well as the sale item clause (see below)!

Usability and Speed: The website is very easy to use and look at.
Product Images: The product images are all on manikins, which isn’t something that appealed to me. However, you can scroll over the product that you like and view it on the left side of the screen for a closer look, but it is still on a manikin.
Checkout Process: The checkout process is simple and is just a general checkout process. You don’t have to be a member in order to checkout through Alight.
Is My Credit Card Safe?: Credit card information is secure through Alight as they use SSL encryption.
Customer Service: 2 out of 5 stars
The customer service was something that I wasn’t impressed with. I called to see if I could find out where a specific product had been made and the customer service rep was very rude from the time she answered the phone to the time we hung up. She was so hateful in her tone and wording that I even asked to speak to a manager, at which time she very gladly hung up on me. Had I been a real customer, I would have called back a VERY angry customer – and I probably should have anyway.

This is probably the only store (or at least so far) that I know of that will accept returns on SALE ITEMS! How awesome, right? Of course, there are some stipulations such as you’ll receive a store credit for sale items that are under $25.00.
No matter what your reason is for return, as long as the tags are still attached and the item has gone unused, you can receive a refund in some way (depending on terms and conditions) as long as you return the item within 30 days or purchase.
If you wait until after 30 days, you will only receive a store credit for the current selling price of the item. And, if it’s after 60 days, you will be required to pay a restocking fee of 25%.
Easy and straightforward – and I love that you can return sale items!
Shipping: 4 out of 5 stars
Alight will ship within the United States as well as internationally including Canada. All shipping rates are based off the merchandise total and have different options for methods of shipping such as priority shipping through USPS, UPS Air, as well as standard ground shipping.
Most orders from Alight will be shipped from their warehouse in St. Louis, MO, which I found to be very helpful information as most online stores don’t provide this type of information. Thumbs up to Alight!
Fit Measurements: 3.5 out of 5 stars
Guidelines for sizing can be found once you reach the product description page. There is only a small link to it underneath the description and connection options (Facebook, Twitter, etc.). There are size charts for the different brands that the online store sells as well as a general guideline for measuring your bust, natural waist, and hips. There is an international conversion chart as well as general fit measurement charts for tops and bottoms. Definitely nothing impressive here – no images or anything.
