Spiegel has a huge clothing line available for almost any type woman but mainly targeting the career minded and sophisticated woman. From what I could tell, most of the clothing is for misses rather than the plus size woman. While there are a number of fashions at Spiegel for the plus size woman, it seems that they don’t necessarily show as much interest for plus size fashion.
In addition, Spiegel goes that step further and adds in gifts, gift baskets, travel gifts, books, home décor, etc. that is all available to their customers on their website. All merchandise seems to be of high quality, well maintained and affordable.
All in all, no matter whether you are dressing yourself or dressing up your home a bit, you can find it all at Spiegel in the latest fashion trends.

Usability and Speed: The website is sophisticated just as their clothing line. The site works very well and loads relatively quickly although it could be a bit quicker.
Product Images: The product images are very sophisticated with some being on models and some simply floating in the air it seems (but they still look good). Once you click on the product image, you are taken to the description page where you can then utilize zoom capabilities.
Checkout Process: The checkout process is just like any other. You start out by signing into your existing account or filling out information as a new customer. You can then choose to create a password in order to create an account or you can simply continue as a guest.
Is My Credit Card Safe?: In order to take part in secure transactions through the Spiegel website, you must have SSL 3.0 enabled in your computer’s browser settings. The site gives you instructions on how to ensure that this is enabled. Always look for that padlock!
Customer Service: 2.5 out of 5 stars
The customer service associate was not very helpful at all when I called. I called to find out how I went to input a coupon code for my purchase. She informed me that when I got to that page I would know. In addition, I asked her if the coupon code would be processed immediately and if any of their coupon codes had expiration dates and if so, how would I find out? She told me that the system would reject it if it was out of date – she then sort of said under her breath that it would probably be rejected. I just told her thank you and I went on. I found her to be very rude and unsupportive.

Spiegel is pretty standard with their policies. Simply return any unwanted merchandise within 30 days to receive a full refund or an exchange. If it’s after 30 days, you’ll simply receive a store credit that can only be used at Spiegel for merchandise purchases.
The process time for Spiegel is a bit long as they ask for you to give them an entire month to process your return then adjustments should appear within two billing cycles – a bit long if you ask me but it is the same policy as many online stores; however, some have better return policies and timelines.
Shipping: 4 out of 5 stars
Spiegel offers standard delivery as well as two different express delivery options. A handling charge is added per order of $1.95 and standard charges are based upon the merchandise total.
Spiegel also offers international shipping but you do have to sign up with Access USA in order to receive shipments.
Their shipping methods and charges are a bit strange in some aspects but overall is okay.
Fit Measurements: 5 out of 5 stars
You can obtain the size charts when you go to a particular product description page. The size charts include both women’s and misses sizes, separate charts for each. There is also a measurement guide of how to get an adequate measurement for your bust, waist and hips as well as a skirt length image and text guide.
You can also see a swimwear chart that helps you decide what type of swimwear you need and describes the different types. For example, hard cup, shelf bra, etc. There is also a chart to help you determine your size for intimate clothing as well as a ring size specially designed for Spiegel products.
